Make Time

Ingredients
- 1 cup Elmer’s White School Glue
- 1 cup shaving foam
- ¼ cup Elmer’s Magical Liquid (add gradually)
- 4–6 cups fine play sand
Steps
1
In a large bowl, mix the glue and shaving foam until smooth.
2
Slowly add the Elmer’s Magical Liquid, stirring until the mixture begins to pull away from the bowl.
3
Knead the slime until it is no longer sticky.
4
Add the sand one cup at a time, kneading well after each addition.
5
Continue adding sand until you reach your desired texture. Use about 4 cups for a stretchier slime or up to 6 cups for a moldable, kinetic-sand feel.
TIPS
- If the sand slime is too sticky, knead in a little more activator.
- If it becomes too firm or crumbly, add a small amount of glue and continue kneading.
- Store your sand slime in an airtight container to help keep it soft between play sessions.
- For group activity buy white glue in bulk
- If making sand slime at the beach please take all of the slime with you and excess as well! Be mindful of the environment around you!
Learning Through Play
Sand slime is more than just fun—it encourages sensory exploration, strengthens fine motor skills through squeezing and kneading, and inspires imaginative play. Hide toy dinosaurs, fossils, gems, or shells inside the slime to turn it into an exciting hands-on discovery activity that children will want to play with again and again.
